Making My own Castile Soap, and dish soap, and hand soap, and...
So I started off with one bar of unscented castile soap, and grated it into a large glass bowl. This took the longest of anything. And really...wasn't that long. I just tend to hate grating anything. But, grate I did.
Here's where I gathered my doTERRA essential oils.
Started off with 2 cups water in a jar.
Then I put 1 1/2 cups of castile soap.
Then I added 1 TB of white vinegar.
Then 1 TB of washing soda.
Then 10 drops of essential oils. I used 5 drops of lemon essential oil and then I would have put 5 drops melaluca, but I didn't have any so, I added 5 drops On Guard instead.
Another option is to add 5 drops of grapefruit seed extract...which I might do at some point.
And there you go, super cheap dish soap (1 cup and 1/2 of 64 oz of soap that cost $4. How much is that?). And it's working fabulously so far.
While I had the essential oils out. I decided to remake my air freshener too.
Basically for this I just fill up a spray bottle with water, add in 20 drops essential oils (lavender and citrus orange is great. And then do 3 TB with hazel. Supposedly the alcohol is supposed to help the water and oil mix. Personally I just shake the bottle before I spray. But there you go!
Alright have fun with it!
